Co-founder / Board Member
Graduated from the University of Rwanda with a degree in General Medicine and Surgery. Currently serves both as Director of the Medical and Allied Health Science Services Department at Gitwe Hospital in Southern Rwanda, and as part of the medical team at Nyanza District Hospital. This dual role highlights his capacity to combine leadership in hospital management with frontline clinical service delivery.
Brings extensive expertise in patient care, clinical governance, and health system management. Known for strengthening hospital operations through structured governance and fostering accountability, while maintaining a strong commitment to clinical excellence.
As a Board Member at Health Horizons Ltd, contributes to building Rwanda’s medical tourism sector by applying his knowledge of the healthcare system and his leadership experience in hospital governance. Focused on ensuring patient safety, transparent processes, and sustainable growth, while aligning healthcare services with innovative business models.
Dr Jean Aristide UFITINEMA
Co-founder / Board Member
Graduated from the University of Rwanda with a degree in General Medicine and Surgery. Served professionally as a Medical Officer at Masaka District Hospital in Kigali, where he continues to serve as the focal person for Urgent Care. Contributed significantly to improving emergency care services, leveraging extensive clinical experience and expertise in acute care management.
Currently serving as a Board of Directors member at Health Horizons Rwanda, bringing a strong clinical and operational perspective to the organization. Founder of Oxygen Fitness, the first medically supervised gym in Rwanda, located in Kigali Health City – Masaka, demonstrating a unique combination of healthcare expertise and business acumen.
Recognized for strategic leadership in both clinical and entrepreneurial settings, Dr. Ufitinema brings a multidisciplinary approach that integrates emergency care, health system strengthening, and innovative health-focused business solutions. Committed to enhancing patient safety, operational efficiency, and overall healthcare accessibility, while fostering collaborations that drive sustainable impact across Rwanda and the region.
Dr Prince Audré TUYISHIME
Founder / Managing Director
Graduated from the University of Rwanda with a degree in General Medicine and Surgery. Trained in Multiple Hospitals around the country then served professionally as a Medical Officer at Masaka District Hospital and later at Nyarugenge District Hospital in Kigali, contributing to efforts to meet WHO quality standards of care, particularly in Maternity and Neonatology.
Currently serving as Managing Director at Health Horizons Rwanda, leading the design and implementation of innovative medical tourism coordination models. Recognized for expertise in corporate management, research and development, and scalable healthcare solutions, Dr Prince brings a multidisciplinary perspective that bridges medicine, public health, and business. His vision is to strengthen health systems and expand access to high-quality, sustainable care across Rwanda, Africa and beyond.
